Diocese prepares to light torches ahead of Guadalupe pilgrimage, notice on Holy Days of Obligation

All are welcome to attend “The Lighting of the Torches” Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine, Co-Cathedral, Freehold, during a commemorative Mass which will mark the beginning of the 2019 Traveling Torch celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

All are welcome to attend “The Lighting of the Torches” Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine, Co-Cathedral, Freehold, during a commemorative Mass which will mark the beginning of the 2019 Traveling Torch celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

17 Traveling Torches will be lit during the Mass, celebrated by Diocesan Vicar General, Msgr. Thomas Gervasio, and sent forth to travel to different churches, schools and other sites throughout the Diocese of Trenton, before they come together Dec. 7 in the streets of Trenton for the annual Diocesan Pilgrimage for Our Lady of Guadalupe.

All are welcome to enjoy food and entertainment during a reception after the Mass in the parish hall on campus. St. Robert Bellarmine, Co-Cathedral is located at 61 Georgia Road, Freehold.
