
World Mission Sunday is upon us as the annual collection to support the Missions will be taken up at Masses in parishes across the Diocese of Trenton, Oct. 19 and 20.
The Diocese of Trenton will celebrate a World Mission Sunday Mass, Oct. 20 at Noon in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, 151 N. Warren St., Trenton. Father Peter James R. Alindogan, pastor of Our Lady of Hope Parish, West Long Branch and diocesan mission director will be principal celebrant and homilist. This Mass is open to all who would like to attend.
The Monitor has also published a special section on World Mission Sunday, a pillar of “Extraordinary Missions Month” in the October Edition of the Monitor Magazine, containing a message from Pope Francis, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., and Father Alindogan. The section also includes reporting on which parishes and schools raised the most money for the Missions and a report denoting where money from this annual collection is allocated.
